Save Scene Backup

This command saves an incremental backup of the currently open scene.

Select Save Scene Backup from the File menu or use the keyboard shortcut: Shift + Alt + S

This works by first backing up the existing scene file on disk (the previous version saved) and moves it to the backup directory with an incremented name. The currently open scene is then saved in place. This allows the current version of the scene to retain the same name and location so as not to interfere with scene references and build settings.

Artists may find this helpful to keep a record of past iterations of the scene to refer back to later.

Backup Path

By default, scene backups are saved to "Assets/_SceneBackup", however you may customize the location in the Timeflow Preferences.
