This is an editor-only feature used to aid in workflow. Users may assign game objects and prefabs to function keys for quickly going to key objects in the scene or project view. These key commands work globally and do not require the Timeflow view to have focus.
To assign the currently selected object use the keyboard shortcut Control + Shift + Alt + F# where F# is any one of the F keys. Note that each slot can only have 1 game object reference.
To select one of the assigned objects use Shift + F#
This list can also be found in the main menu under: Tools > Timeflow > Quick Select The keyboard shortcuts may be changed if desired by going to
Edit > Shortcuts...
F2 Conflict in Windows
Please be aware that the F2 key is used in Windows to rename files and may interfere with this shortcut being used in Unity. The system hotkey can be disabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings. Please consult your system's manual for details.
